Robin's heart: This past Sunday I went to my sons home to spend time with his family, and to help care for my grand baby. My son needed to do some maintenance work to his vehicle, and my daughter-in-law also had some chores to do. As they worked outside my grand baby and I were inside, but she wanted to go outside also to be with them. So I put some shoes on her little feet and we stepped outside. As we did this she immediately spotted a clean automotive air filter on the ground, and she headed straight for it. She's a one year old, and is very curious, and is in an intense exploration stage. As she quickly made her way to the filter, I picked her up to keep her from grabbing and crushing it. At the same time, my son showed me the dirty filter that he had just removed from his truck just before tossing it into the trash can. He was so proud of that dirty filter he removed! He then picked up the clean, white, spotless filter to replace the dirty one, as my grand baby and I explored elsewhere.
Since that time the Lord has been stirring within my heart about how His word washes our minds just like those filters. The lesson is very simple but profound. The word of God acts just like a filter cleaning away the dirt and grime of the world. When our minds are washed with the word, we can then think in line with His word. As we think in line with His word this then enables us to act in line with His word. Plus, we are able to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit easier because there isn't a bunch of crud blocking the Wind or Breath of Him as His voice moves from our spirits to our minds. Praise God! Let's stay in the word so our minds can be washed continually, and stay clean and free from debris of this fallen world! Amen!

Hebrew 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edge sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
