Dream: Paddling With the Dolphins

Update: 2/13/2018  i now believe this dream to be a warning...please listen for the Lord's voice...

Robin note: I woke up this morning as a God dream was ending. I am led of the Lord to share. It contains an encouraging message for us all.

Dream: I was standing on the ocean shore watching an older woman about 25 feet off the coast in the water. She was wearing a black scuba suit. She was sitting and paddling on a surf board traveling parallel with the shore. There were 3 or 4 dolphins swimming in the water around her. I understood that she enjoyed this exercise but only participated at night. It was dark outside. Starlight twinkled on the ocean water. The atmosphere was pleasant and not scarey.

Next scene. I found myself in this woman's place. I was sitting on the surf board. I was paddling in the ocean water using my hands and arms to move along. I was moving parallel with the shore as the dolphins swam in the water next to me at night time. When suddenly I became disoriented. I was confused and not sure in which direction the shoreline was located. I became afraid that the dolphins were now sharks. I had a feeling of confusion and fear. End of dream.

InterpretationThis dream is about our faith in God. It represents the development and typical walk with Him. We first learn how to walk by faith by watching mature christians exercise their faith just like we read about in Hebrews chapter 11. After that we step out into the water too by faith trusting our Lord and by standing on His word. He gives us much help as we travel through this dark world. He surrounds us with favor as a shield just like the friendly dolphins represent. Also, we are kept safe as we keep our eyes only on Him who is represented by the shoreline in this dream. Sometimes circumstances come along that bring fear and doubt, but if we continue to stay on the surf board representing God's word, and just keep paddling representing trusting the Word, then we will eventually find the shoreline again untouched by the deceiving sharks and the disorientation unexpected circumstances in life may bring.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not unto our own understanding.

Hebrews 11:29 By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, whereas the Egyptians, attempting to do so, were drowned.
